hey, just found your great website. big boland fan in nyc. specificallly, meant to find something written about "time in hell". while i see where your interpretation comes from, ive listened to this song multiple times- i love it- and it's about a solider's experience in the war in iraq. look for it on youtube, and before he starts singing, he says, "elect someone get this madness over with", and the song talks of "this place where the garden of eden fell", etc. etc. anyway great website, ive bookmarked u!

On second thought that song may have been on chart more in 2006. Keep up the good work!

Seems to me you may have left out another song by Jason Boland called "No One Left to Blame", which spent a number of weeks at #2 and a long time in the top five. I would think it might place above some of those mentioned. Thanks for putting your list out there. Enjoyed reading it!

Ready your kind review. I must say the I prefer Deryl's slower tempo songs and was totally emotional when I listened to the SOLID GROUND and I play it over and over. It speaks to couples and how a loving wife can turn things around.. Powerful. I also LOVE Songs of the Family and I'm Not Home. I'm enjoying this CD and wish I could hear some of these more on the radio. I even brought my cd into work so a coworker could hear the SOLID GROUND song.

Thanks.

I must say that your review is well written, but I would like to know who wrote half of my mistakes? Because I will let you in on a little secret .... it wasn't him and I can prove it.
